LONG BEACH ADULT DAY HEALTH CARE CENTER

Come join us at Long Beach Adult Day Health Care Center for a fun community where you can socialize and maintain and/or even improve your health! Long Beach Adult Day Health Care Center is a community-based adult service for the community of Long Beach. Our facility is open Monday-Friday from 8am-3pm. We provide various amounts of services to help our participants in the community. Services are free of charge if one is enrolled in a managed care through Medical.

Our services include nursing, social work, occupational and physical therapy, mental health services, and activities. There is an RN on duty at all times to help maintain and improve the physical health of our participants. A social worker is also available daily to help provide participants with counseling needs or community resources. The activity coordinator provides a schedule of various activities throughout the week. Activities include trivia, bingo, word searches, arts and crafts, dancing, and singing amongst other activities.

We also provide a light breakfast and a full hot lunch. Transportation to our center is also available for those that live within the area. Other forms of transportation, such as Access, can be provided as well.

Our goal is to help maintain or improve the overall well-being of all our participants. We focus on helping our participants physically, mentally, and emotionally to prevent inappropriate institutionalization. We provide a safe community where our participants can socialize with one another while working on improving their lives. It is an alternative to staying at home in isolation where one’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being can deteriorate.
