CAMS WINS TWO CIF CHAMPIONSHIPS!
The California Academy of Math and Science High school won two CIF championships this fall.
The girls tennis team went undefeated all season, won 1st place in Moore League and won the Division 5 CIF title. The last CIF title CAMS won was back in 2006. Coach Lorant Lassu has been a coach for about 3 decades at CAMS and was so inspired by his team. It was a total team effort with great commitment, growth, and talent. Mandy Oliveros won the Moore League Tournament and also made it to the top 16 singles in CIF.
The girls volleyball team won the CIF championship in Division 7. This is CAMS first CIF win for volleyball. Our coach, Joemar Abetong, was named coach of the year and Camille Abetong earned the title of player of the year in CIF. Their victory was the result of a tremendous amount of dedication, teamwork, determination, and grit displayed all season long.
