Feature Event: Small Business Saturday

This Saturday, Nov. 24, shop small.

Small Business Saturday is a holiday first observed in 2010 to offset Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It encourages holiday shoppers to buy at small local brick and mortar businesses instead of the big-box retail stores.

You can support your 908 small businesses all over the city!

Downtown Long Beach at The Loop:

From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be a variety of activities: entertainment, a photo opportunity with the Grinch, crafts, and themed holiday food and drinks.

You can catch the free trolleys that will stop at various locations in Downtown to shop and dine at all of the great businesses with tons of specials.

The Pike:

From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., check out 50+ local artisan vendors, a food court, and food trucks. There’s something for everyone! There will also be free two-hour parking with validation from one of The Pike’s permanent stores as well.

This is a family-friendly event and dogs are allowed. Doggie vendors will be present, so head to The Pike to pick up a collar or two.

Belmont Shore:

Check out the many places to eat on Second Street like Legends and Naples Rib Co. while picking up items at local shops like Blue Windows, Luckette, and Heavenly Couture. Belmont Shore has everything you need!

East Long Beach:

There are tons of deals this Small Business Saturday around the East Long Beach area. Check out some of our favorites like Tenni-Moc’s Shoe Store, Miyamo, House to Home Furniture, Family Floors, and J&L Jewelry.

Bixby Knolls:

Check out EJ’s Pub (4306 Atlantic Ave.) where you can get a free Basket of Goodness with a receipt from a Bixby Knolls small business. For all Small Business Saturday deals, visit http://bixbyknollsinfo.com/small-business-saturday/

Support your local businesses in the 908 this Small Business Saturday!
