This Thursday, work up an appetite before your Thanksgiving meal during the Long Beach Turkey Trot! This event will allow more than 3,000 participants to walk and run for two local causes: Justin Rudd's nonprofit, Community Action Team, and the AIDS Food Store. This Saturday, join Vegans of Mars and LB Vegan for their three-year anniversary event! Green Saturday, which was originally inspired by Black Friday, offers event-goers the opportunity to discover their new favorite vegan and cruelty-free vendors. Various apparel, food, art, skincare, and more will be available for all to browse and purchase. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Whiskers & Tails Foundation, who will also bring adoptable cats and dogs to the event. Children are admitted free and adults are $5.
