Feature Event: READY Long Beach 2018
The READY Long Beach Expo is a prime marketplace for emergency preparedness merchandise and non-profit vendors alike. Held on an annual basis, the READY Long Beach Expo provides a family-friendly atmosphere in an outdoor setting. This free event is sponsored by Long Beach CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) in partnership with the Long Beach Fire Department, city departments, CSULB, local businesses, and other disaster response agencies to help prepare residents for any and all emergencies. Disasters know no boundaries.
Starting at 10 a.m., families can enjoy music, rides, and prizes, while gaining information on how to plan ahead in case of emergency. The expo will feature fire safety demonstrations, emergency vehicle displays, emergency supplies and equipment, vendor booths. Participants can also learn some life-saving tips and join free CERT classes.
