For the third year in a row The Grunion Gazette is presenting Dine Out Long Beach’s Restaurant Week 2.0! For one week the restaurants in Long Beach will put their best foot forward to offer value-oriented menus that showcase their unique style. There will be two-course brunch and lunch menus with a price range of $10-$20 person along with three-course dinners offered from $20-$50 per person. The week allows residents and out-of-towners to enjoy Long Beach cuisine at price points that can fit any family’s budget. Victory Garden Classes in Long Beach

Using a wide variety of colorful materials, children can experiment with old-fashioned arts and crafts. This free, drop-in program takes place rain or shine. March’s theme, Lovely Lavender, celebrates spring.

Blood Drive Car Show Long Beach

This is a car show with a purpose! Enjoy cool vintage rides and race cars, unique shopping with local artists and vendors, great food and drinks, and DJs. Representatives from the American Red Cross will be collecting blood donations. In addition, 20 percent of admission proceeds will go to the American Red Cross for their lifesaving mission of keeping the blood supply stable and available for all Americans. Children under 10 are free.

Touch-a-Truck

Touch-a-Truck is an interactive event for those fascinated with, in awe of, or just generally interested in large trucks, tractors, military, public safety and construction vehicles. Climb in, honk the horn and meet the personnel who drive the trucks through our streets. These large vehicles fill the parking lots adjacent to the beach at Granada and Ocean Blvd. Preregistration is required for this free event.

The Sweet Experience

Meet local dessert and pastry chefs around your area and enjoy free samples of their sweet treats. Watch your kids show off their culinary talents with a cookie decorating station.
